The Bridge at Wadi Rum
I’ve talked to counselors and lords
Whose words were as no blunted swords
I’ve known 6 emperors and 3 kings
And 5 who’ve had mens’ worshippings
I’ve ridden with horsemen of the east
And sat with scholars at their feast
Known some the masters of their hours
To whom the years were as pressed flowers
Still as I go, this thought endures
No place to great to be made yours
