Team Melbourne At Tell es-Safi/Gath
Our Melbourne team just finished excavating this building at Tell es-Safi/Gath. We had a great time and our students did a fantastic job. Dean, Brent and I continue on for a bit longer and hope to have more fun photos from Tell es-Safi/Gath!
I'm a native of southern California. After attending USC, and pursuing a life of aimless partying in the seedy underbelly of Los Angeles, I was inspired to study archaeology after seeing the movie Lawrence of Arabia and reading 17 books about TE Lawrence. I did my MA and PhD at UCLA, where I also excavated in California, Syria, and Greece. Now I teach archaeology at Melbourne Uni, but I'll always be a native Angeleno at heart. I love pets and have had many, but my last 3 have been wire haired fox terriers.
