Mycenaeans at Safi
Dean and Vaia were digging a fill with earlier material set into it. Shannah and Lauren were digging a similar fill on the other side of a wall. Lo and Behold, they both found joining parts of the same Late Helladic IIIB imported pyxis - a type of box.
I'm a native of southern California. After attending USC, and pursuing a life of aimless partying in the seedy underbelly of Los Angeles, I was inspired to study archaeology after seeing the movie Lawrence of Arabia and reading 17 books about TE Lawrence. I did my MA and PhD at UCLA, where I also excavated in California, Syria, and Greece. Now I teach archaeology at Melbourne Uni, but I'll always be a native Angeleno at heart. I love pets and have had many, but my last 3 have been wire haired fox terriers.
