Saturnalia
The end of the year brings with it inevitable parties. This was an end of year party thrown by our Classics and Archaeology grad students. We had some great food at a local pub, and I shared some stories about my own grad student experiences.
I'm a native of southern California. After attending USC, and pursuing a life of aimless partying in the seedy underbelly of Los Angeles, I was inspired to study archaeology after seeing the movie Lawrence of Arabia and reading 17 books about TE Lawrence. I did my MA and PhD at UCLA, where I also excavated in California, Syria, and Greece. Now I teach archaeology at Melbourne Uni, but I'll always be a native Angeleno at heart. I love pets and have had many, but my last 3 have been wire haired fox terriers.
